Currently my family has been dealing with possibly placing my grandmother in long-term care. This has been agonizing as any place that we deem acceptable for her costs between $300-$500 per DAY!. I just got an email from Holland America cruise lines for a 30 day Mediterranean cruise for $140 per day. Food included, someone to take care of changing the sheets. Hmmmm….

I was walking across campus today in the pouring rain and this guy stopped me. He said, “Hey, I keep seeing you around school and I just have to ask; would you want to go on a date with me some time?”

I said, “Actually, I have a boyfriend,” which is true, but I probably would have said it anyway…

He insisted that I take his number “in case it doesn’t work out” and because, he said, this was the bravest thing he’d ever done, so he had to at least give me his number.

I said fine. He asked for my phone to enter his number and I obliged… what could I do?

When he was done he said, “What is your name?” and I said Jessica and he said, “I’m Trev. Nice to meet you. I hope you call me sometime.”

Just now I was looking through my phone and saw that he had saved his number as “Prince.”

Like I said, ballsy.

So I was away for the weekend, and Chris and Will were kind enough to make sure that my cat didn’t die. When I returned home, the heels that I’d left lining my bedroom (a result of making last minute packing decisions) were toppled over and displaced. Even more confusingly, I just turned on my iPod to discover that this was the last song played. Let the records show that this was not the last song that I had played on my iPod.

Boys? I totally expected you to walk around my apartment in my shoes, but Afternoon Delight? Really?
